Dear Readers,

If you're familiar with my Tempered series, you'll recognize Lori from book 3, Tempered Fire. Back then she was a spoiled, little rich girl used to getting what she wanted—wild, rebellious and totally dissatisfied with her lot in life.

Aren't we all like that to some degree?

Even though the bible exhorts us to learn to be content in all circumstances, and in ALL things to give God praise, we whine and complain, never truly satisfied.

Like many of us, Lori sought happiness in vices such as booze, drugs and sex—and like most, ended up emptier than ever. And, like many in turmoil of whatever kind and degree, wondered if there IS blessed relief in suicide. I know I've been there myself more than once when the circumstances in life seem too difficult to bear.

So, what's the answer?

Redemption.

Redemption and trust even when you don't understand why God allowed that particular turn in the road on your journey of life.

Many find redemption and rejoice in their salvation then return to the same destructive patterns—if not in deed, in attitude.

How does one break free of the bondage of negativity?

W. Clement Stone said, "Whatever the mind can conceive, it can achieve."

Envision your life the way you want it to be then call those things (the circumstances in your life) that be not, as though they are! By believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth you work out your salvation and open yourself to receive the blessings God has in store for you.—Try it, it works!

It is my prayer that if you don’t already know Him, you’ll seek Jesus as your Lord and Savior and if you do know Him, you’ll pursue a closer walk with Him.
